I am a historian and women’s and gender studies scholar. My research focuses on women’s political action and agency in early modern England and Ireland. Much of my work has focused on women in the Dudley family, Mary Dudley Sidney, Katherine Dudley Hastings, and Jane Dudley. I also work on women, gender, and chronic illness. I teach courses in history, women’s and gender studies, and humanities and medicine. I’m interested in engaging people through the humanities.
